Wedding Photography - Yakima, WA

These photos were taken at a wedding where I was a guest.  I have not shot a wedding yet, but I took this opportunity to take some shots for my portfolio.  Don't worry; the wedding took place in Washington state, so I am not hurting the official wedding photographer's business.

Last kiss before the ceremony :-)

"You may kiss the bride!!"

I took this opportunity shot while the happy couple was posing for their official photographer.

Taking a moment to be together before the reception started.

Toast during the reception.

portraiture: Children - random, mostly candid

You will see this same handsome boy in a lot of my photos ... he is my precious son :-)  What better practice for a proud mama than taking portraits of my own son!

A candid profile shot, taken while he was playing indoors.

A posed outdoor shot, taken in our backyard.

A semi-posed, semi-candid shot.  This was at my cousin's wedding, and I asked him to hold my bridesmaid flowers and pose for me.  Asking a 2-year-old to pose doesn't always guarantee good results, but this time we got a winning shot :-)

studio work - Family

Me and my men :-)  This was in the studio, using the self-timer on my camera set on a tripod.  Lots of running on my part, but we got a few good ones.

Wearing our silk Chinese shirts; whole silk Chinese outfit for my son.

studio work - Father and Son

My two men!  Yes, this is my husband and son.

My son loves the view from atop his papa's shoulders ... his papa is 6'4", so it's a really good view.  He has a tendency to use his papa's ears as handles, though :-)

A casual, fun shot.
